What it is
A rock club inside a marina
On Avenida Luis Braille, between the moorings and the marina terraces, there is a door with the hum of an amplifier coming out of it. Inside, the stage is at floor level, the walls have spent years filling up with posters and guitars, and the crowd stands a metre from the microphone. The marina stays outside: in here there is only rock.
Louie Louie Live Estepona has been programming seriously for years: bands from the province, tributes that sell out, international tours stopping on the Costa del Sol, and open nights where anyone who dares gets to play. There is no low season. From Wednesday to Sunday, something is on.
If you are passing through, it is the easiest answer to “so what is there to do here at night?”. If you live in Estepona, it is the place you keep coming back to.
No booking, no need to know who is playing, no dress code. You walk down to the marina and go in.

Three fixtures that never move
Even with no tour and no poster, the week has its own rhythm. These three always come round.
Thursdays · 10 pm
KararoKer
The stage opens and whoever dares sings. This is not a screen in a corner: it is the same stage, the same sound and the same crowd as a Friday night.
Sundays · 9:30 pm
Jam-On
Doors at 8 pm, jam from 9:30. Bring your instrument and play with whoever shows up. It is the most unpredictable night of the week.
Wednesday to Sunday · from 7 pm
Terrace and Happy Louie
The terrace opens at seven, facing the marina, and Happy Louie runs until one. It is the quiet half of the night, before anything starts playing.

Many nights are free. The ones that are ticketed sell in advance online, always cheaper than on the door, and the rest is paid at the box office on the night.

The terrace opens at seven. Weekend gigs start late, almost always at 11:30 pm, so dinner is not a problem. Thursdays and Sundays start earlier.
One tip
On big nights the room fills before the music starts. If it is a band you care about, get there half an hour early and stay near the stage: it holds fewer people than it looks.

Quick questions
Do I have to pay to get in?
It depends on the night. A good part of the programme is free — Thursday KararoKer, Sunday jams and many local band gigs. Touring acts and the bigger tributes are ticketed, usually between €8 and €25, cheaper if you buy in advance.
Where do I buy tickets?
Each gig has its own seller: Woutick, Entradium, Eventbrite or 27 Ladridos depending on the show. On this page every date links straight to its own. You can also buy at the venue box office on the night, unless the poster says otherwise.
What time does the music start?
Fridays and Saturdays, almost always 11:30 pm. Thursday KararoKer, 10 pm. Sunday jams, 9:30 pm. Dates with a poster carry their exact time in the programme above.
Can I bring children?
It is a gig venue with a bar, so the night itself is not built for them. The terrace early in the evening is another matter: it faces the marina and works well before anything starts playing.
What if the band I want to see has no poster yet?
It appears in the programme with its date and name, but without a time or a price, because the venue has not published them yet. As soon as the poster is out, this page picks it up.
