Louie Louie Live Estepona is the marina's concert room: a rock venue on Avenida Luis Braille where there is music from Wednesday to Sunday, small format, with the stage two metres from the crowd.

This is not background music. Touring bands from Spain and abroad, tribute acts, English-language comedy nights and one-day festivals all come through, plus two fixtures every week: live-band karaoke and the weekend open jam. Many nights are free; when they are not, you pay in advance or on the door, and the price is always on the poster.

It is the most reliable night out in Estepona once summer ends: the season runs to December, long after the squares in the old town have gone quiet.

You don't walk down to the marina to see whatever is on: you go to see someone. It is the only room in Estepona with a real concert season, poster by poster and with names on the bill.
