Estepona beaches
Eleven kilometres of Mediterranean coastline.
Blue Flag at Playa del Cristo, urban sand at La Rada and the longest seafront promenade on the western Costa del Sol.
The promenade is named after a man shot at 22 years old. Almost nobody walking it knows this.
Before you go
In July and August, Playa de la Rada gets busy. For a quiet swim in high season, Playa del Cristo or Playa del Ángel are better options. The seafront promenade is pleasant any month of the year.
Blue Flag · Fine sand · Next to the Sports Harbour
Playa del Cristo — Blue Flag
The calmest and most sheltered beach in Estepona. Fine sand, clear water and the Blue Flag. Located west of the centre, next to the sports harbour. The favourite of those looking for a quiet swim without leaving the town centre behind.
1.8 km long · Next to the seafront promenade · Town centre
Playa de la Rada — the most central
Estepona's urban beach, flanked by the Pedro Manrique Seafront Promenade. The longest and liveliest in summer. Sand, beach bars and the old town five minutes away on foot.
East of the centre · Free access · Less crowded
Playa del Ángel — without the crowds
East of the centre. Less well-known, less visited, no beach bars. Just sand, sea and the horizon. Chosen by those who already know the others and prefer a swim in peace.
11 km of coastline · Free access · Open all year
Pedro Manrique Seafront Promenade
Eleven kilometres of coastal path between the Sports Harbour and the municipal limits. Named after a republican shot at 22 years old in 1931. At dawn and dusk, almost empty.
Free museums · Restaurants · Nautical activity all year
Sports Harbour
447 moorings, fresh-fish restaurants and three free municipal museums (Ethnographic, Palaeontological and Bullfighting). Works equally well for eating, walking or simply watching the boats go by.
