Louie Louie Live Estepona is the live music venue of Estepona marina. It sits on Avenida Luis Braille, between the moorings and the terraces, and from the outside it is a discreet door — what gives it away is the hum of an amplifier. Inside, the stage is at floor level, the walls have spent years filling up with posters and guitars, and the crowd stands a metre from the microphone.

There is something on from Wednesday to Sunday, with no low season: bands from the province, tributes that sell out, international tours stopping on the Costa del Sol, and open nights where anyone who dares gets to play. Many dates are free entry; the ticketed ones sell in advance online, always cheaper than on the door.

The terrace opens at seven. Weekend gigs start late, almost always around 11:30 pm, so there is time for dinner first. It is a few minutes on foot from the seafront promenade, and there is parking in the marina itself.
