Feria Mayor — Estepona's Summer Festival
The Feria Mayor de Estepona starts on the first Tuesday of July. Six days with the city centre fully alive: giants and big-heads, performances and local gastronomy.
The Feria y Fiestas Mayores de Estepona is the city's biggest annual event. It begins on the first Tuesday of July and lasts six days, with the historic centre and the fairground as the main stages.
Unlike the San Isidro Fair in May, the Feria Mayor has more volume and more variety. The giants and big-heads (gigantes y cabezudos) animate the streets during the mornings. Musical performances follow one another every afternoon and evening. Local gastronomy stalls — espetos, beach bars, market produce — are present throughout the week.
Estepona's Feria Mayor is a size that makes it accessible: you don't need to know the fairground in advance to find your way around. Families, groups of friends and visitors mix easily without any group displacing another.
The most human-scale fair on the Costa del Sol. Travel guides frequently overlook it, which keeps it authentic.
