Senda Litoral

14 kilometres of coast running through beaches, coves and views of the Rock of Gibraltar. Wooden boardwalks, direct sea access and the same shoreline that the fishermen of the eighteenth century knew in an entirely different way. Best walked at dawn.

About this place

The Costa del Sol Coastal Path is a project connecting all the coastal municipalities of Málaga province along the shoreline. The Estepona section is one of the most complete, with wooden boardwalks, beach and cove access, rest areas and uninterrupted views of the Strait. The total length of the municipal stretch exceeds 14 kilometres. One of the best times to walk it is at dawn, when the sun rises from the east and the Rock of Gibraltar remains in shadow to the west. It is also worth visiting in winter, when tourist traffic disappears and the path is left almost entirely to local residents.
