Comandante Lara y Cía — Los 3 Tenores
Comandante Lara y Cía bring 'Los 3 Tenores', an over-18s comedy show, with two performances at the Teatro Felipe VI.
On 24 April 2027, the Teatro Felipe VI in Estepona hosts two performances of 'Los 3 Tenores', the show by Comandante Lara y Cía: one at 5:30 pm and another at 8:30 pm. Numbered tickets are on sale from €28.60. The content is recommended for over-18s only.
The venue itself puts it bluntly: 'these gentlemen are not going to sing'. Despite the name, there is no opera on stage — Luis Lara ('Comandante Lara'), Jesús Tapia and Vicente Ruidos turn what starts out looking like a singing recital into a festival of jokes, parody and improvisation, with an unfiltered, close-to-the-audience humour rooted in the comedy tradition of Cádiz.
Luis Lara was born on 29 October 1976 in Jerez de la Frontera. After studying Journalism at the University of Seville, he made his name playing several characters -including 'Comandante Lara' himself- on the sports-and-comedy radio show 'El Pelotazo' on Canal Sur, and followed the show's team when they signed with Cadena SER in 2011. Since 2017 he has toured theatres across Spain with his own stand-up, and in 2020 he launched 'El show del Comandante Lara' on Canal Sur. He is joined by Jesús Tapia, a comedian known for everyday-life monologues, and Vicente Ruidos, from Chiclana de la Frontera, a specialist in imitating sounds who was a finalist among 20,000 hopefuls on the Spanish TV show 'El Rey de la Comedia'.
Three comedians from Cádiz promise on the poster that 'they're not going to sing' — and they keep their word: 'Los 3 Tenores' trades opera for unfiltered jokes, parody and improvisation.
