In October, Casa de las Tejerinas, the cultural centre on Plaza de las Flores, changes its shows. Entry is free and you can drop in on the way, between a coffee in the square and a walk through the old town.

**Tijen Ercen, 8 to 21 October (Hall 2).** Sixteen large-format works by a Turkish artist based in Marbella who came to art after forty years in the pharmaceutical industry. She works with what others throw away: used coffee capsules, glass, ceramics, metal and resin, turned into mixed-media pieces inspired by the sea, nature and architecture.

**Leif Ahrle and Puck Jansson, 16 to 29 October (Hall 1).** A couple of Swedish artists who live in Estepona. He, born in Stockholm in 1943, has made glass sculptures with Swedish master glassmakers since 1990. She paints in egg tempera — women on large canvases, sheep in soft colours — and watercolours of cities around the world. The show opens on Friday 16.

**Still on.** 'The Memory of Blue', paintings by Isabel Martín, until 14 October in Hall 1; and the photographic tribute to Mario Algaze, from Jorge Reynardus's collection, in the Alfonso Gil Alfonso Hall and the central courtyard.

Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Saturdays 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Closed Sundays and Mondays.

Coffee capsules turned into paintings and Swedish glass a few steps from Plaza de las Flores: free art for an autumn morning in the centre.
