British Day
A day devoted to Estepona's British community, with live music, dance and market and food stalls on the seafront promenade, beside the Peseta Monument.
British Day is the second date in the third edition of 'Sharing Cultures', the municipal programme that devotes a day to each of the foreign communities living in Estepona. It takes place on Saturday 26 September, from 5:00 to 10:00 pm, on Estepona's seafront promenade.
According to the event's official poster, the live entertainment line-up includes: 5:00 pm, Sunset Flyers; 6:00 pm, Doña Julia Line Dancers; 7:00 pm, Del Sol Singers & Karen Danzig; 8:00 pm, Band O'Leros; and 9:00 pm, Gary Fearon. The day also features market and food stalls throughout, organised with the collaboration of A.R.E.M.E. (Foreign Residents Association of Estepona) and Estepona town council.
Estepona is home to residents of 135 different nationalities, who make up around 32% of the registered population; the British community is one of the largest among the town's urbanisations. 'Sharing Cultures' puts that diversity on display with free street events open to everyone.
Five live acts, from Sunset Flyers to Gary Fearon, and market stalls: Estepona's British community, one of the town's largest, takes over the seafront.
