AREME Coffee Morning
AREME's charity gatherings, open to anyone who wants to come along. In November: coffee on the 2nd at the marina, a charity quiz on the 5th and 19th and coffee on the 16th in Benavista.
AREME's Coffee Mornings are informal mid-morning gatherings with a charitable purpose. They are held at a different venue each time and are open to anyone who wants to come, residents and visitors alike.
October brings four dates. On Thursday the 1st, at 7:00 pm, a charity quiz at Bar Vice Versa in the marina (€2 members, €3 non-members). On Monday the 5th, at 11:00 am, coffee at Rick's Café, in the marina. On Thursday the 15th, another charity quiz at Vice Versa, 7:00 pm. And on Monday the 19th, at 11:00 am, coffee at the Benavista Bowls Club.
November follows the same pattern. On Monday the 2nd, at 11:00 am, coffee at Rick's Café, in the marina. On Thursday the 5th, at 7:00 pm, a charity quiz at Gastropub Vice Versa. On Monday the 16th, at 11:00 am, coffee at the Benavista Bowls Club. And on Thursday the 19th, at 7:00 pm, the last quiz at Vice Versa.
Earlier there were five summer and September dates: 3 August and 7 September at Rick's, 17 August at Neli G's Gastro Café in El Paraíso, the quiz on 17 September at Vice Versa, and coffee on 21 September in Benavista.
They are a reasonably direct way to meet the international community that lives in Estepona year-round — a part of the town that passing visitors rarely see.
A mid-morning coffee with a cause — and, every couple of weeks, a €2 pub quiz. It is also the easiest way to understand who lives in Estepona out of season.
