Italian Culture Day
A day devoted to Estepona's Italian community, with music, cultural activities and food on the seafront promenade, beside the Peseta Monument.
Italian Culture Day opens the third edition of 'Sharing Cultures', the municipal programme that devotes a day to each of the foreign communities living in Estepona. It takes place on Saturday 19 September, from 5:00 to 10:00 pm, on the seafront promenade, near the Peseta Monument.
According to the event's official poster, the programme includes: 5:00 pm, opening with DJ Gianluca; 5:30 pm, a performance by Laura Raimondi with Alex Filippi and Luis Barea Cobo; 6:00 pm, a performance by Laura and students from the UMP Unconventional Music school (Owen Ditch, Amber Furlong and María Koretska); 6:30 pm, a quiz about Italy; and 7:00 pm, a DJ Gianluca show. The event is supported by local businesses and groups including Pizza Amore, Pastificio Dall'Anima, Pasta La Vista, UMP Unconventional Music Publishing, Camminata Metabolica, Yama Creazioni, Capo Giri, Malena Handmade Jewelry and Kappa Wine.
Estepona is home to residents of 135 different nationalities, who make up around 32% of the registered population. 'Sharing Cultures' is how the town council puts that diversity on display, with free street events open to everyone.
