Ukraine Day
A day devoted to Estepona's Ukrainian community, with a craft market, masterclasses, traditional food and a gala concert, beside the Peseta Monument.
Ukraine Day closes the first dates of the third edition of 'Sharing Cultures', the municipal programme that devotes a day to each of the foreign communities living in Estepona. It takes place on Sunday 27 September, from 12:00 to 9:00 pm, on Estepona's seafront promenade.
According to the event's official poster, organised by the Prosvita association together with Estepona town council, the programme includes: 12:00 pm, opening of Ukraine Day, craft market and masterclasses; 1:30 pm, traditional food market; and 5:00 pm, a gala concert featuring Ukrainian groups and artists from across the Costa del Sol, with a charity raffle. The event is sponsored by Maydan Málaga, the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Málaga, the Obereg humanitarian mission and the Ukrania Eres Tú association.
Estepona is home to residents of 135 different nationalities, who make up around 32% of the registered population. 'Sharing Cultures' puts that diversity on display with free street events open to everyone.
