Swan Lake — Kyiv Ballet
The Kyiv Ballet brings Swan Lake to the Teatro Felipe VI — Tchaikovsky's great classic on the love between Prince Siegfried and Princess Odette.
On 9 October 2026, at 8:30 pm, the Teatro Felipe VI in Estepona welcomes the Kyiv Ballet with 'Swan Lake', the masterpiece Tchaikovsky composed between 1875 and 1876. Tickets from €49.50.
The choreography retells with elegance the story of Prince Siegfried and his love for Princess Odette, turned into a swan by a spell. The famous swan scene, with its soft, flowing movement, still moves audiences as it did at its premiere more than a century ago.
The Kyiv Ballet was founded in 2017 by Viktor Ishchuk, a soloist of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Kyiv, to bring together young talent and established soloists of the Ukrainian school in a stable company. Before 2022 it had already given more than 500 performances across Europe, Asia and the Americas; that same year, Russia's invasion of Ukraine cut short a performance the company had scheduled in its own city and pushed it into touring almost permanently outside the country. Its stop in Estepona comes, according to the Teatro Felipe VI's own website, after the 'immeasurable success' of the company's first tour of Spain in 2022.
A company still touring half the world because it cannot perform in its own city: the Kyiv Ballet brings Estepona the classic that already filled theatres on its first tour of Spain.
