Esperanza Soria & Fernando Soto — A Tribute to María Jiménez and Bambino

Esperanza Soria and Fernando Soto pay tribute to María Jiménez and Bambino with a flamenco show full of feeling on the Teatro Felipe VI stage.

23 October
Teatro Felipe VI, Estepona

On 23 October 2026, at 9:00 pm, the Teatro Felipe VI in Estepona hosts Esperanza Soria and Fernando Soto in a flamenco tribute to two landmark voices of the genre: María Jiménez and Bambino (Miguel Vargas Jiménez).

With guitar, percussion, handclaps and flute, the show revisits the legacy of both artists through songs they performed across their careers, in a night of authentic, deeply felt flamenco.

Esperanza Soria, born Esperanza García de Soria Gómez in Écija (Seville), is one of three sisters —alongside Soledad and Lola— who debuted in 1999 as Hermanas Soria and have formed the group Son de Sol since 2001, representing Spain at Eurovision 2005 with the song "Brujería". The daughter of Jesús García de Soria, co-founder of Écija's first flamenco club, and singer Teresa Gómez León, she has shared the stage with Miguel Poveda. Fernando Soto, a singer born in Jerez de la Frontera in 1983 and a cousin of singer Pitingo, dedicated an entire 2015 album, "Bambineando", to reviving lesser-known songs from Bambino's catalogue — the same artist both performers honour tonight at the Felipe VI.

From Eurovision to an entire album reviving Bambino's lesser-known songs: Esperanza Soria and Fernando Soto bring Estepona a tribute to two flamenco voices no longer with us.
