Verbena 'La luz de Santa María'
The San Isidro Labrador brotherhood holds its third verbena in honour of Santa María de la Cabeza, in Plaza Antonia Guerrero, with Compás Flamenco, DJ David Tex and De Lunares.
This edition took place in 2026.
On Saturday 5 September, from 6:30 pm, Plaza Antonia Guerrero hosts the third edition of the verbena 'La luz de Santa María', which the San Isidro Labrador brotherhood dedicates to Santa María de la Cabeza, the wife of the farmer saint.
It is a neighbourhood verbena of the kind that starts in the afternoon and runs long: the brotherhood's bar, chairs out in the square and three acts back to back. This year the stage brings Compás Flamenco, DJ David Tex and the band De Lunares.
This is the kind of celebration that does not appear in the guidebooks, and it explains rather well how September feels in Estepona, when the tourist summer starts to ease off and the town goes back to celebrating for itself.
A brotherhood verbena, with no big stage and no ticket. The Estepona that keeps celebrating once summer has turned the volume down.
Before you go
