Dance Nights in the Square

Every Tuesday of the summer, Estepona's dance schools take to the square. Flamenco, Spanish dance, ballroom and oriental dance, outdoors and free of charge.

Tuesdays in summer, with the city's dance schools
Plaza del Reloj, Parque El Calvario and Orchidarium Botanical Park

This is one of the city's best-loved summer traditions and one of the least known to visitors. Every Tuesday at 9:30 pm, Estepona's dance schools perform in the open air. It is not a touring professional show: these are the town's own academies, with their own students, and that is exactly what makes it worth seeing.

The 2026 calendar opens on 28 July in Plaza del Reloj with the MT Dance School, directed by Martina Tessaro. On 4 August comes the flamenco of the Sólo Flamenco academy, directed by Ana Guerrero, also in Plaza del Reloj. On 11 August the stage moves to Parque El Calvario, with Spanish dance and flamenco by Eva Alarcón and the Ocean Danza y Acrobacia school. On 18 August the Orchidarium Botanical Park hosts ballroom, cabaret and oriental dance with Mariví Rodríguez, plus modern dance and flamenco with Claudia Ramírez 'La Marivilla'. The season closes on 25 August in Plaza del Reloj.

Free entry. The squares fill up early and much of the audience watches standing, from the terraces around.

The most direct way to see the real Estepona in summer: whole families applauding the neighbourhood dance schools in an old-town square.
