Tuesdays in summer, with the city's dance schools
Plaza del Reloj, Orchidarium Botanical Park and Parque El Calvario

This is one of the city's best-loved summer traditions and one of the least known to visitors. Every Tuesday at 9:30 pm, Estepona's dance schools perform in the open air. It is not a touring professional show: these are the town's own academies, with their own students, and that is exactly what makes it worth seeing.

The 2026 season runs from 14 July to 15 September and rotates between three settings. Plaza del Reloj hosts Mónica Peña's academy (14 July), Martina Tessaro's MT Dance School, with classical ballet, modern jazz and Latin dance (28 July), Ana Guerrero's Sólo Flamenco academy (4 August) and Eva Alarcón's Spanish dance and flamenco studio alongside the Ocean Danza y Acrobacia school, run by Laura and Sara Perea (25 August).

The Orchidarium Botanical Park hosts the '=ES' dance therapy workshop led by Inmaculada Chacón (21 July), the ballroom, cabaret and oriental dance of Mariví Rodríguez together with the flamenco and modern dance of the Dynasty school, run by Claudia Ramírez 'La Marivilla' (18 August), and the flamenco and modern dance of El Taller del Arte, by José Franco and Inmaculada Carmona (8 September). Parque El Calvario has Eva Alarcón and Ocean Danza y Acrobacia (11 August) and, to close the summer, Gemma Sánchez 'La Milana' and her dance studio, with flamenco, Spanish classical, modern dance and ballet (15 September).

Free entry. The squares fill up early and much of the audience watches standing, from the terraces around.

The most direct way to see the real Estepona in summer: whole families applauding the neighbourhood dance schools in an old-town square.
