- 1975–1977Cultural lifeThe flamenco festival with Enrique Morente and the film week with five countriesOn 12 April 1975, Estepona hosted the III Gran Festival de Cante Grande with Enrique Morente, Manuel Gerena and Parrilla de Jerez. In 1977, the I International Week of Educational Cinema brought five countries together. Two episodes that reveal a town with a cultural life of its own.
- Desde 2012Vida culturalEl museo al aire libre que empezó con una Venus que ya no existeLa Ruta de Murales Artísticos de Estepona nació en 2012 con el objetivo de convertir fachadas de barrio en un gran museo al aire libre. El primer mural, «La Venus de Estepona», se inauguró ese mismo año: 120 m² en una fachada de la Barriada Mar y Sierra, obra de Ana Cecilia Salinas y financiado íntegramente por la Fundación La Caixa. La artista tomó el nombre y parte de la iconografía de la propia Venus de Estepona, la figurilla prehistórica hallada en 2011. El mural original ya no existe —la pintura se desgastó y la fachada se repintó de blanco—, pero la ruta que empezó con él suma hoy más de setenta obras.
